Mystery is an elite foundation dam with world class genetics going back generations proven both in the show ring and through EPD evaluation. But what else would you expect after crossing the bloodlines of the only two males ever to win herdsire of year two years in a row AND breeding the 2008 reserve dark and light herdsire of the year to a dam from Snowmass Alpacas' coveted fine fleece ROYAL line?

Snowmass Royal Mystery is an elite merino style female out of the 2008 light National champion, bred to one of the most consistent, champion producing bloodlines in the nation. She's a rare Matrix offspring out of a dam from Snowmass's Royal line. For those not familiar with the Royal line, this is Snowmass Alpaca's top line for producing lasting fineness. Look at this girls EPDs, they're incredible. Follow her lineage and you'll see it in every generation.

You won't find many pairings of the Snowmass Matrix/Quechua line with Snowmass XXXtreme so this is a rare foundation dam for producing all colors.

We searched the nation to find a Snowmass Matrix daughter to match with Apocalypse, and Mystery was our first choice.

Both are infused with Hemingway genetics, Apocalypse being a Hemingway grandson through Nautilus, and Mystery having two grandparents (Quechua & XXXTreme) that are Hemingway grandsons.

From an EPD standpoint both are matched almost perfectly around the top 1% in multiple traits and near the top for top AFD sorted by AFW. When doing a 2016 EPD search for any "Snowmass" females with AFD < -1.7, there were 50 results in the EPD database. Mystery is #3 when sorted by AFW (infers progeny will have increased fleece weight and density). She's also one of the top EPD females for SD in the nation and her histogram came back with 3.8 SD @ 7 years.

Mystery is the Snowmass daughter of one of the highest selling herdsires ever sold, Snowmass Matrix, and the granddaughter of one of Snowmass highest selling females, Snowmass Amberlight.

Her full brother, Snowmass Royal Destiny, is a multi-champion with biopsy results indicating 81 follicles/sqmm with S/P ratio 15.1/1!!!!!!!! (Mystery hasn't been biopsied... yet)
