Atlas hit the ground, was standing within minutes and was already exhibiting an air about him that made us take notice immediately. He is one of the calmest alpacas I have ever handled – nothing seems to phase him as he takes it all in stride. He is a very fine fleeced, full Accoyo male exhibiting a high degree of luster without sacrificing density, and he packs it all on a beautifully balanced frame. He does have a dark fawn eye patch and a medium fawn spot on his tail but the rest of him is bright white with NO contamination in his blanket. We are encouraged that he will allow color to pass when bred to dams of color. His bite is perfect as is his dams and sires, both of which have never needed to be trimmed.
He was just barely 6 months old when he competed in his first show and brought home a second in a very large, tough white class. He has gone on to earn many championships in white even bringing home a 5thplace at the World Fleece show. We were thrilled with this accomplishment and noted a perfect score for color consistency! He was within 5 points of 1stplace (out of 12)
Atlas is proven, but to date has only been bred to white but has definitely made improvements on the dam adding density and organization
