Alpaca Shearing Day / RSVP Event
About the Event
May, 18th - 09:00AM
Shearing day at Heritage Farm takes place once a year in May before it gets hot. It sometimes is a family affair, sometimes a few friends and neighbors come to help, but always it’s a long, hard, dirty day. At the end of the day, it’s a tired that feels good. The hard work and the help of everyone present results in a crop of beautiful alpaca fiber, alpacas that will be comfortable when hot weather arrives, some family bonding, and enjoying friends while we work together. You are invited to join the shearing day activities. You can get your hands dirty if you want, or just observe. Either way, we would love to have you visit!
