This winter has been unexpectedly fierce, as snow and ice enveloped the land for a month, and temperatures dove into sub-freezing digits. Despite these harsh conditions, life thrived on the farm with the arrival of a newborn alpaca and three lambs. As we adapted, cozy pens with heat lamps became sanctuaries, and countless bales of hay transformed into sustenance.
