Experience our "Get Your Hands Dirty" Old Fashioned Grandma 1940's type sustainable agriculture farm. At our Tree covered 40 acre Country Setting we have dairy cross cows, chickens, dogs and cats. Our cabin has two bedrooms with kitchenette and bathroom with bathtub/shower. Best to come between April and December. Two seasonal creeks on 40 acres of trees and hills. Help Plant, harvest, eat or preserve the family garden, gather eggs, feed a calf a bottle, let the kids hoot and holler. Help milk the cow when she is "fresh". Feed hay to the cows. Feed the chickens and gather the eggs. For an extra fee you can add family style breakfast and dinner (no lunch). After chores there are many places in our county to explore including snow in the winter, Free lakes and rivers in the summer, wine tasting, shops, and events like riding the zip line on one of our many area caverns. We are 88 miles from Lake Tahoe, 89 miles from Sacramento and aprox. 100 miles from Yosemite. About 50 miles from "Big Trees" and "Bear Valley" for playing in the snow or skiing.
