Welcome to 3 Palms Zoo & Education Center, a unique sanctuary for rescued animals of all kinds. Our zoo provides an interactive, family-friendly experience unlike any traditional zoo. We focus on rescue and education, offering homes to creatures who have been surrendered, forgotten, or come from prohibition circumstances. From former pets to non-releasable wildlife, we provide a safe haven for our residents, each looking forward to sharing their unique stories with you.

At 3 Palms, visitors can engage in immersive animal encounters. Our array of farm animals, including llamas, goats, and cows, are waiting for you to feed and pet them, along with other creatures like ducks, sheep, mini pigs, rabbits, emus, and giant tortoises. Meet our playful prairie dogs and don’t be startled by our free-range turkeys, chickens, peacocks, and geese, eager to make new friends. Our Black Vulture, Brandon, is notorious for attempting to untie shoelaces! It’s an unparalleled petting zoo encounter.

Explore our diverse wildlife exhibits to learn about our special inhabitants, such as the Silver Fox, Skunk, Leucistic Fox, and Prairie Dogs, who, due to captivity or legality restrictions, cannot be pets in Delaware. You’ll also meet our unreleasable wildlife like coyotes, red foxes, gray foxes, and raccoons, orphaned and human-level socialized. Our exceptional Brown Pelicans, Pete and Repeat, and a selection of alligators make up Delaware’s exclusive alligator exhibit. Rounding out our collection are a screech owl and several native turtles.

The waterfowl pond is an animated area for birdwatchers, housing domestic and Canada geese, various ducks, and cackling geese. Our lively pelicans enjoy swimming and feeding near it, while turtles like the red-eared sliders and northern red-bellied river cooters bask at the pond's edge. Frequent visits from wild fowls such as mallards, blue herons, and snow geese add extra charm.
