39th Annual World Catfish Festival

Our festival, known as the World Catfish Festival, first took place on April 8, 1976. This special event coincided with the declaration of Humphreys County as the Catfish Capital of the World by Governor Cliff Finch. Over the years, we've held 48 festivals and continued to grow significantly. Celebrated as one of Mississippi’s premier 'foodie' festivals by MSN.com, we offer a diverse array of food vendors from across the state. From the culinary delicacies to be tasted, to over 100 arts and crafts vendors, there's something for every attendee. This family-centric event features activities for children, including inflatables, games, and a petting zoo, as well as captivating musical performances from Grammy winners and renowned regional artists on the main stage.
