About Us
Welcome to Al's Family Farms, nestled in the famous Indian River Citrus Growing District. Our farm is renowned for our historic red barn packinghouse where visitors can explore the machinery we use to wash, sanitize, and pack Florida's renowned Indian River Citrus to be shipped to family and friends in colder climates. Our packinghouse, once impacted by severe weather conditions, has been thoughtfully restored to continue providing fresh citrus.
At Al's Family Farms, guests can enjoy visiting 'The O.J. Corral' as well as our agritourism observation grove near Al's Red Barn Grill. Here, you find mainly citrus trees along with some banana and papaya plants. The Red Barn and its surroundings are a testament to resilience and dedication, having been rebuilt with care following damages from Hurricane Milton. Patrons of the farm have access to fresh fruit, juices, and goodies, even amidst ongoing restorations.
We invite you to come see our citrus processing in action, where you can observe the intricate process of cleansing and grading fruit through our innovative self-guided tours. These provide you with an educational experience into the workings of citrus farming. Though formal guided tours have ceased, self-guided tours allow you to explore safely at your own pace. At Al’s Family Farms, community and family values remain core, with emphasis on delivering enjoyable and educational experiences for all visitors.
