Beau Chemin Preservation Farm

Beau Chemin Preservation Farm is a visitor farm which emphasizes preservation of endangered breeds of livestock, promotion of these breeds through fiber sales and breeding stock, education and demonstration. Our farm is certified organic for everything that grows out of the earth and for our endangered egg-laying ducks. Certified organic pick-your-own raspberries and other berries are available in season. We sell bee friendly certified organic perennials throughout the growing season. A working farm, we raise most of our own food, our own organic hay for our livestock. Demonstrations include wool dyeing with natural dyes raised on our farm, spinning demonstrations and livestock care. A one mile nature walk including several micro-environments (mixed woods, marsh, fresh water) includes a local birding list. Call 207-691-8164 in advance of a visit.
