About Us
Carolina Bison, part of Dr. King's Farms, is a family-run operation that started in 1985 as King's Farm in western Pennsylvania. Over the years, we transitioned to what is now known as Carolina Bison Farm located in Leicester, North Carolina, near Asheville. This move allowed Dr. Frank King to continue the family's legacy of responsible and humane livestock farming.
We take great pride in raising our bison naturally on quality native grasses, ensuring they have access to pure mountain spring water. Our practices ensure no added hormones or antibiotics are used, upholding ethical animal treatment standards. All our bison meat is USDA inspected, reflecting the top-notch quality and pure American bison heritage we preserve.
The farm's beginnings were rooted in Dr. King's vision of providing a nutrient-rich, clean source of meat that supports human health.
