Corison Winery

Our winery, nestled in the Napa Valley, prides itself on producing artisanal Cabernet Sauvignon renowned for its power and elegance. With vineyards located between Rutherford and St. Helena, we invite visitors to experience our small, family-owned winery, providing a unique insight into our winemaking process.

We are pleased to have achieved Napa Green certification for both our winery and our estate vineyards, Sunbasket and Kronos. For decades, sustainable practices have been at the heart of our grape-growing and winemaking processes. Being part of Napa Green furnishes us with tailored resources, such as regenerative farming techniques, educational support, and employee training, encouraging us to continually improve our efforts in sustainability.

As part of our sustainability measures, we have initiated a sheep grazing program, supported by a grant from Napa Green. This program reduces our carbon footprint by replacing tractor use with sheep for mowing during the early growing season. Mowing the cover crop early reduces frost damage at bud-break, while the grazing naturally aerates and nourishes the soil, enhancing fertility and water absorption.

Recently, Cathy and her daughter Grace engaged in a conversation with Esther Mobley of the S.F. Chronicle discussing the dynamics of next-gen succession within the wine industry. Cathy expressed her deep hope of involving her daughters in the winery's future. Now, Grace has stepped into the role of assistant winemaker and is preparing to succeed her mother, while Rose contributes to the winery on a part-time basis.
