About Us
Located in the Historic Cordage Park of Plymouth, MA, Dirty Water Distillery is a micro-distillery nestled within what was once the largest maritime rope manufacturer globally. The site has now transformed into a lively setting for craft spirit and beer enthusiasts, operating both as a taproom and a function space.
We are a group of innovators and adventurers who are unafraid of experimentation. With a diverse team that includes a physicist as the owner and a high school English teacher as our head brewer, we embrace a spirit of exploration. We encourage everyone to try new things, whether it be tasting new flavors or picking up welding.
Our journey began with a year of thorough study and some experimentation in the initial stages, leading us to establish a distillery intended for creating unique beverages. With all permits and licenses in place, and equipment acquired, we ventured into crafting artisanal liquors. Our larger 200-gallon still and a smaller 10-gallon still, both crafted by Trident Welding in St. Albans, ME, allow us to create both large batch productions and pre-production experimental batches.
At Dirty Water Distillery, we take pride in crafting liquor that explores modern tastes and enables exciting cocktails. Rather than following the beaten path, we find joy in discovering and sharing new flavors. Our range includes flavored vodkas and gins made with local ingredients like cranberries and juniper berries. Moreover, collaborations with friends and customers often inspire our innovative spirits and whiskeys.
