Garner Homestead FamilyFarm

In 2008, we began a new venture to rejuvenate our farmstead, a cherished property that has been in the Garner family for over 130 years. Known as "Papa" Bob Garner, our ancestor was born and grew up in the century-old house that still graces our land.

Our vision was not only to make the farm productive once more but also to create an educational and entertaining environment for children unfamiliar with farm life. Inspired by memories of her former students enjoying visits to a pumpkin patch and corn maze, our daughter Susan, an ex-teacher, helped expand this idea. Our first year saw the addition of a corn maze, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, nature trail, playground, hayride, picnic area, and a trained animal show.

This undertaking began with Bob and his wife Myrna, but it has since flourished into a full family effort, involving Susan, her husband Doug, granddaughter April, and her husband Jason, including everyone in the Garner household.
