About Us

Glacial Lake Cranberries, Inc., located on the remnants of the ancient Glacial Lake Wisconsin, has been in the business of producing cranberries since 1873. Situated on 6,000 acres in central Wisconsin, about 15 miles west of Wisconsin Rapids, our farm benefits from the state’s finest wetlands - the perfect environment for cultivating North America's native red fruit, the cranberry. The high-water table, sandy resources, and optimal acidic soil contribute to our successful production of Vaccinium macrocarpon, the cranberry.

We cherish the wonderful relationship with our guests who have visited us over the years and shared an interest in cranberry cultivation. Their visits have enriched our lives profoundly. However, due to new chapters in our owners' lives, we have discontinued the cranberry harvest tours at our location. Nonetheless, cranberry tours are available at nearby Rooted in Red in Wisconsin Rapids and Lake Nokomis Cranberries in Eagle River.

Spanning 6,000 acres, Glacial Lake Cranberries holds roughly 3,000 acres of water reservoirs that sustain over 380 acres of cranberry vines and 2,600 acres under forestry management, with the rest being diverse lands. As this has been our home, the farm is rich in history. Our land, first acquired by John B. Arpin in 1873, has ancestors who played a notable role in the cranberry industry. Today, much like when our predecessors first developed this area, the same water reservoir system remains crucial for our operations, complemented by additional infrastructure enhancements.

As the landscape has evolved, so has the ownership, passing through the hands of the Arpin family to the Brazeau family, and eventually to Virginia Brazeau, who restructured the property into R. S. Brazeau, Inc. Today, Mary Brazeau Brown proudly serves as the sole owner and President of Glacial Lake Cranberries, Inc., with her son Stephen assisting as the Vice President of Operations. This familial tie ensures that our cranberry tradition continues to thrive combined with modern agricultural practices.
