About Us
A perfect stop for Group Tours, the historic Jam Kitchen is located at the Green Briar Nature Center in a rural setting on beautiful Cape Cod. The kitchen dates back over 100 years, and today is a living museum where jams, jellies and preserves are still made the old-fashioned way in small batches. Visitors may walk through the working kitchen and taste samples of some of the many products available in the unique gift shop. Since 1979 the Jam Kitchen has been operated by the Thornton W. Burgess Society, a non-profit environmental education organization. Sales of kitchen products help to support its many natural history programs, which inspire reverence for wildlife and concern for the natural environment in the tradition of the famed children's author and naturalist, Thornton W. Burgess.Ample free parking is available.
