The Herds Inn at Hedgebrook

The elegant log home sleeps eight people. There are two bedrooms and 2 full baths. There is a great room with a large stone fireplace and a full kitchen. There is a washer/dryer and cable television. The front porch is a perfect place to watch the sunset and look at the animals in the front pastures. We except reservations for one night up to long term stays. For weekenders breakfast in a bag is provided for you to prepare at leisure. Other than the dairy we have donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, peacocks, chickens, turkeys, horses, a llama and a water buffalo. The Herds Inn is open all year long. You can also come to the farm every weekend in October for the Harvest Season (pick your own pumpkin, hayrides, corn maze, and much more. From Washington D.C. Route 7 West to I81South to exit 310(Kernstown). Turn right off the exit and then take the immediate off ramp to the right(Rt.11North) after crossing the railroad tracks take a left at the next stop light, Apple Valley Rd. that will turn into Shady Elm Road. Go 1 mile farm on the right.
