About Us
Tahoma Vista Fiber Mill, nestled in Yelm, Washington, is dedicated to providing premium fiber processing services. Since first stepping into the alpaca industry in 1993, our journey has been profound, leading us to establish a fiber mill equipped with commercial-grade equipment in 2016. This facility allows us to take fibers from roving and batts to exquisite yarns and finished products. Our passion is reflected in every strand we process, ensuring quality and care.
We warmly invite visitors to explore both our farm and mill. At our shop, you'll discover an array of items sourced from five local farms, including luxury yarns and essential knitting tools. The shop also boasts a variety of alpaca-themed gifts and accessories such as scarves, gloves, hats, and mittens. We are proud of our handcrafted rugs, ranging from small throw rugs to large area rugs, all created right here in our mill.
Our farm is home to some amazing animals, including the ever-popular Snowflake and Dora, our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs, alongside our beloved alpacas. We offer tours and classes for those eager to learn more about what we do. Although our farm is open all year by appointment, we also open on select weekends in the fall. For a seamless booking experience, please ensure your VPN is disabled when arranging tours over the phone or online.
