About Us
Since 2006, we have been committed to boosting local food production and accessibility to strengthen the resilience of Kaua‘i. Our programs focus on fostering a sustainable food system, connecting the community with resources, and supporting local farmers through various initiatives.
We operate centers like Moloaa AINA and Olohena AINA, offering educational workshops and trainings. Our Kauai Farm-to-School program connects local produce with schools to foster healthy eating habits among students. We also support local farmers through initiatives like the Village Harvest Gleaning Program, which helps redistribute excess produce.
Besides supporting food production, we provide resources like Kauai gardening materials and tools, ensuring that residents have access to what they need to cultivate their own gardens. Our support extends to providing information on food pantries and emergency food resources to assist those in need.
Our mission doesn't stop there; we engage with the community through events, newsletters, and research papers, ensuring everyone stays informed and connected. Furthermore, we encourage local shopping and support farmers by accepting SNAP/EBT & DA BUX, making local purchases accessible to everyone.
Volunteers play a critical role, and opportunities abound for those wanting to support our cause through volunteering or donations. Join us in making a meaningful impact on Kaua‘i's food system!
