Menghini Winery

Menghini Winery stands proudly at an elevation exceeding 4000 feet, tucked away at the base of Volcan Mountain. Just a short 2.5-mile drive from the storied town of Julian, CA, we are the second oldest winery in the region, with deep roots in both San Diego County and Julian itself. Our winery is encircled by lush apple orchards and spans a substantial six-acre vineyard. Visitors can relish in the expansive picnic areas offering stunning panoramic views of the countryside.

We are dedicated to producing around 4,000 cases of wine each year. Our winemaker and co-owner, Michael Menghini, embarked on his winemaking journey at San Pasqual Winery in the 1970s. His dedication to the craft has been honed through various roles, including working as the assistant winemaker at Callaway Winery and later as the winemaker at Filsinger Winery. In 1980, Michael, guided by his passion and alongside his wife Toni, took the helm of Menghini Winery.
