About Us
The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum offers visitors a unique journey through the rich agricultural history of Mississippi. We have a collection of exhibits that vividly represent the impact of agriculture and forestry on our state's growth and development. Our museum is conveniently open from Monday to Saturday, welcoming visitors of all ages to explore and learn.
Our general admission covers access to the museum’s displays, featuring a wide array of artifacts and interactive elements designed to engage visitors and offer insights into the agricultural practices of the past and present. Military personnel, seniors, and children between ages 3 to 17 enjoy discounted rates on admission.
Additionally, our General Store operates within the museum itself, allowing visitors to purchase various items and mementos during their visit. Schools and educator groups often visit for field trips, where they gain hands-on experience and partake in self-guided tours, supported by maps and explanatory guides.
Throughout the year, we host an array of activities and events catering to a variety of interests. Our monthly 'Uncle Story' sessions combine storytelling with interactive activities for young children. We also offer engaging workshops like Folk Art Fridays, where adults can explore and express their creativity through various art forms.
Whether it's to learn, shop, or participate in educational programs, each visit to our museum promises a memorable experience, highlighting Mississippi's agricultural heritage.
