About Us
Nestled 17 miles west of Billings and not far from the beautiful Rocky Mountains, Mule Train Alpaca Ranch is a family-operated initiative led by Udo and Angi Lyngby-Cox. Our working alpaca ranch is an embodiment of dedication to developing happy and healthy alpacas through selective breeding focused on high-quality fiber and confirmation.
Visitors are welcome to partake in our ranch events and tours, where they can meet the array of alpacas we care for, including our special line of full accoyos. We also offer alpaca sales, sponsorships, breeding, and agisting services, alongside a storefront that boasts an eclectic mix of fiber, merchandise, and creative gifts made from our alpacas' pristine fiber.
Moreover, Mule Train Alpaca Ranch is committed to sustainability with offerings such as alpaca manure, humorously dubbed "Black Gold," which is an environmentally friendly fertilizer rich in nutrients. Our store further features spinning tools, handmade alpaca fiber products like socks and sweaters, and a collection of open-range eggs and unique chickens, making us a vibrant farmstead that caters to both family gatherings and commercial interests.
Our humble yet expansive property also hosts charming events. Whether your interest lies in hosting picturesque celebrations or partaking in our regular tours, Mule Train Alpaca Ranch provides a memorable backdrop under the expansive Montana sky.
