About Us
Olivina is a renowned historical estate nestled in the vibrant region of Livermore, a prominent name in California’s rich viniculture history. Established in 1881 as the second winery in California's pioneering wine area, Olivina owes much of its unique identity to the olive tree cuttings from Mission San Jose, planted thoughtfully across its expansive 2,000 acres.
Our estate specializes in crafting certified extra virgin olive oil from six distinct olive cultivars grown right here on the property. With almost 10,000 olive trees lining our estate, we carefully tend to Mission, Arbequina, Picholine, Lucca, Frantoio, and our unique Century Mission varieties. We take tremendous pride in processing our olives onsite to wholly capture and showcase the fresh, vibrant flavors of each oil.
Olivina's commitment to quality is affirmed by our certification with the Olive Oil Commission of California (OOCC). Our oils undertake detailed assessments by a sensory panel and a certified laboratory, assuring every consumer of enjoying nothing but truly genuine extra virgin olive oil.
