About Us
The Piedmont Agriculture Academy is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 50 minutes west of Washington, D.C., in the heart of Virginia's bucolic horse and wine country. An historic animal sanctuary, wildlife habitat and working farm. The farm is surrounded by The Appalachian Trail, Sky Meadow State Park, fox hunting, horse back riding, Polo, antique shops, quaint restaruants, B&B'S, vineyards and wine tasting tours. Offering a unique opportunity to experience a certified Wildlife Habitat and animal rescue sanctuary on a reserve and living historic treasure once home to Stonewall Jackson's bivoac prior to the Battle of Manassas. Walking tours include the oldest home in the town of Paris, hiking, working "farmer for a day" experiences, pick your own sweet fresh vegetables, flowers and herbs, make your own soap and much more farm fun are all available by appointment only. This working offers a rare glimpse at experiencing life much unchanged as it was when Mosby's rangers were here! Together we can make a difference. Good Karma.
