About Us
We left behind the Seattle urban life in the 1980s and found a turn of the century farmhouse plus an array of outbuildings on 8 acres in the small town of Uniontown. Experienced in the restoration of historic buildings, we transformed the original bunkhouse into a guest house and added a wing to the main house that includes a guest room and an indoor lap pool. A few years later we began raising alpacas whose luxurious fleece once clothed Inca royalty. Uniontown is located among the rolling hills of the palouse in southeastern Washington, 16 miles southeast of Pullman, home of Washington State University, 16 miles southwest of Moscow, Idaho, home of the University of Idaho, 16 miles northwest of Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington valley and 90 miles south of Spokane, Washington. Guests are invited to visit the ranch for an afternoon and meet the alpacas, stay overnight in the bed and breakfast and enjoy exemplary home cooking, or spend several days learning about raising alpacas. We have alpacas for sale as well as products made from their cashmere like fleece. Premier Alpacas of the Palouse ranch and guest home is located in the palouse area in southeastern Washington. We are in Uniontown, Washington, on highway 195, 15 miles south of Washington State University and 15 miles north of Lewiston, Idaho. We are 90 miles south of Spokane and 300 miles east of Seattle and Portland. There is airline service to the airports in Lewiston, Pullman and Spokane.
