About Us
At Redwood Hill Farm, located in the idyllic town of Sebastopol, Sonoma County, we cherish our dairy goats and farm life. We specialize in producing high-quality, artisan products under the Capracopia brand, inspired by the term 'Capra', referring to goats, and 'Copia', as in Cornucopia, or the horn of plenty. Our picturesque setting among the northern California redwoods provides an ideal environment 60 miles north of San Francisco.
Dairy goats are our farm's main focus. We proudly supply our Grade A goat milk to Mt. Eitan Cheese, a renowned local artisan creamery. The owner, Omer Seltzer, hails from a family tradition of goat farming and cheese making. His expertise, rooted in his upbringing in the Judean Mountains and developed further in France and California, ensures the cheese from our milk is both traditional and exceptional.
Sustainability is at the core of our practices. We use solar energy to power our operations and have rainwater tanks for irrigation. Our goat manure is composted to enrich our crops. We were the first goat dairy in the U.S. to be Certified Humane® in 2005, reflecting our commitment to animal welfare.
