About Us

Welcome to the Ringneck Preserve, ideally located between Owego and Ithaca in New York. Spanning over 400 acres, we offer prime hunting grounds with diverse terrain including fields planted with corn, millet, sorghum, switchgrass, and various legumes. These areas provide rich cover for game to thrive, inviting hunters to an authentic experience.

We pride ourselves on providing a challenging hunt with our game birds being released in well-adapted environments. Our preserve is home to Ringneck Pheasants, Bobwhite Quail, and Chukar Partridge, all raised to present a prime hunting challenge.

Visitors are warmly welcomed and encouraged to explore our facilities. For those seeking overnight accommodations, the renowned Turkey Trot Acres Hunting Lodge offers excellent lodging and meals, ensuring a comfortable and memorable hunting experience.

Your hosts, Ray & Deb Kalwara, ensure every aspect of your visit is pleasurable. The preserve's hunting season opens to the public from September 1st to April 15th, and although we don't accept credit cards, you’ll find our services to be second to none.

Corporate hunts are also catered for, with dogs and guides available for upland bird hunts. Accommodations can be arranged at nearby Turkey Trot Acres. Please call for pricing and more information.

Our first-class terrain and well-conditioned birds are some of the prime reasons hunters return to us. We thrive on offering the best upland hunting, embraced by the beautiful landscape and exceptional hosts.
