About Us
Life at River Ridge Farm is dramatically different from the way most people spend their day and an adventure that hearkens of times past, an island of peace and quiet in a hurried world. Horses are a vital part of life here. The sight of horses brings a smile to your face, and thoughts of a time when life was much slower and simpler. Located on the banks of the Clinch River below Norris Dam, River Ridge Farm offers a variety of experiences: You can enjoy a picnic, go fishing, join one of our fall color tours or a guided wild flower tour ranging from 2 to 4 hours, enjoy a draft horse pulled wagon ride from 1 to 4 hours and take advantage of opportunities to meet farm animals. Put your hand to a horse drawn plow or the lines of a horse in cart. There are also facilities for a rustic retreat for family reunions, company or church cookouts or other group meetings. Call or email to arrange your time with us. No tours or wagon rides on Sunday. On I-75 in Tennessee take Exit 122 (The same as the Museum of Appalachia) and go West on State Hiway 61 (toward Clinton) about 1/4 mile, turn right at the signal light onto Hillvale Road and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Miller Road and go 1 mile, turn right on Mike Miller Lane go 1/2 mile and turn right at the River Ridge Farm sign and large black mailbox.
