About Us

The Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District (RCRCD) has been dedicated to the conservation of natural resources in western Riverside and San Bernardino counties since 1953. Our efforts focus on educating and engaging the community in sustainable practices, working closely with local landowners, and preserving native habitats.

Located in Riverside, California, we offer a range of programs and services aimed at promoting sustainability. Our LandUse Learning Center serves as a demonstration garden, highlighting sustainable practices across various local land uses, including native habitats, urban surroundings, and agricultural areas. We are proud to receive the Environmental Education Organization of the Year award for our comprehensive educational initiatives.

Visitors can explore our garden and participate in events like 'Ask a Master Gardener,' held the first Saturday of each month, where UC Master Gardeners provide gardening advice. We also distribute resources such as the 'Milkweeds for Monarchs' handout to educate people on supporting Monarch butterfly populations.

We actively engage the community through field trips, tours, and a range of programs that emphasize the importance of natural resource stewardship. Our commitment extends to offering educational resources and events to inform the public about conservation, sustainability, and the role individuals can play in these efforts.

With over 70 years of service, our dedication to conservation is stronger than ever, as we continue to implement innovative strategies to protect and preserve our environment for future generations.
