About Us

Our journey with alpacas began in 1999 when Deb moved to Ohio and quickly became enamored with these charming creatures. Not long after, Miss Sue joined in, and together, for over two decades, we've shared our love for alpacas with 4-H members and their families at various regional fairs such as the Delaware Co Fair, Ohio State Fair, and Hartford Fair. Although Miss Sue passed away on October 26, 2023, we are committed to continuing our work with these beloved alpacas through training and showing.

We offer boarding services at $3.00 per day, which includes regular care such as feeding, deworming, vaccinations, and more. The young ones, or crias, can stay for free for the first 90 days when they are beside their dam. Veterinary and shearing fees are the responsibility of the owner, and we offer one month of free boarding after a purchase.

Our alpaca leasing to 4-H members spans from May 1 to September 30 each year, costing $2 a day, plus a boarding fee of $1 per day if you board your animal with us. For those who choose to care for their alpacas on their own farm, guidelines such as providing suitable shelter and health care apply. As alpacas thrive in herds, it is necessary to house at least two alpacas together.

We encourage 4-H members leasing alpacas from us to participate in the Ohio State and County Fairs. Furthermore, we provide adult training sessions where attendees can gain handling skills, learn showmanship, enjoy trail walking, participate in obstacle courses, and more, all for a fee of $15 per hour. Our shared training animals have varied levels of experience, offering a broad learning scope.

Throughout the year, we participate in fairs and shows like the Ohio State Fair and the Hartford Fair. Prospective exhibitors must obtain permission from the animal's owner to exhibit and ensure preparedness in handling the alpacas. Our farm falls under Ohio's statute, which covers activities involving equines, including zebras and alpacas. Participation reduces liability for damages incurred during these sessions.
