About Us

At the Youth Garden Project, our mission is to nurture a vibrant community through educational initiatives that connect families and children with their food, from seed planting to the dining table. We take pride in using our 1.5-acre garden as a multifaceted learning environment, where what we grow informs and enriches our educational efforts. Our produce not only inspires our teaching but also provides nourishment to the community.

We offer an array of educational opportunities, leveraging our garden as a dynamic tool for learning that spans various disciplines. Our youth programs are designed to help children form a strong connection with their local environment and food systems. These enriching programs aim to foster young learners' enthusiasm for sustainable agriculture and environmental awareness.

Getting involved with the Youth Garden Project extends beyond youth education. Gardening with us cultivates more than just soil – it builds community. The garden acts as a gathering place, nurturing connections among people of all ages. From volunteering in our garden to participating in community events and workshops, there are numerous ways to become part of our mission. Our events, like the annual Harvest Festival and Plant Sale, are eagerly anticipated community highlights.

The Youth Garden Project also supports community members through our CSA memberships and initiatives like garden consultations. With enriching programs like 'Weed N Feeds' and an ongoing online auction, the community is engaged continuously in productive, beneficial activities.

We wholeheartedly invite families and individuals to discover the multitude of ways to participate in the Youth Garden Project, whether through attending community events or contributing to our cause.
